Desmond Tutu – Age 87
Desmond Tutu, 87, is a South African theologian known for activism advocating for equality in South Africa. The former Cape Town Archbishop was the only black African to ever hold that prestigious position since the National Party that practiced racial segregation and mistreatment of black Africans took power in 1948. The 87-year-old theologian received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his activism efforts. Tutu is married to Nomalizo Leah Shenxane whom he met while attending school in 1955. Desmond has been battling prostate cancer for over 20 years now. He still advocates for socialism despite having retired in 2010.
