Herman Wouk is a world-famous American author, active from 1941. His novel titled The Caine Mutiny was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and he also authored many other books such as The Winds of War, War and Remembrance, This is My God and others. His works were translated into twenty-seven languages, as Herman is often referred to as American Tolstoy. In 2016, his memoir Sailor and Fiddler: Reflections of a 100-Year-Old Author marked his 100th birthday and is his latest published work. Herman has three children with Betty Sarah Brown, who died in 2011 after 66 years of marriage.
