Gianni Versace – $41.5 Million, Miami

Did you expect Gianni Versace to live in anything less luxurious than this? Versace purchased the Casa Casuarina in 1992 for $2.95 million and renovated it. When he moved in, the mega-mansion already boasted 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a library, 4 living rooms, a bar, and 3 sitting rooms. He later purchased the adjoining land and added a big pool and gardens. Unfortunately, Versace didn’t live long enough to enjoy the unique home as he was murdered in front of it in 1997. The Casa Casuarina was later purchased by Victor Hotels Management for $41.5 million and was turned into a luxury hotel operating under the name Villa Casa Casuarina.
