Terry Semel – $37 Million, Malibu

Terry Semel has been a business magnate for decades, and only business moguls like him could have owned such a wonderful mansion. Sitting on a three-quarter-acre lot, Semel’s home was sold to Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. Initially listed at $50 million, the huge mansion was bought by Ellison for $37 million—making the sale one of the most expensive house purchases in Malibu. The property consists of three buildings: the main house, a huge guest house, and a barrel-ceiling screened room. In total, the three buildings offer nine bedrooms and 13 bathrooms plus 151 feet of private beach frontage. Semel was Yahoo!‘s CEO for six years until he resigned in 2007.
