Jane Withers is one of the first child stars of Hollywood, making a name for herself as a tot back in the ’30s and ’40s. Her cute looks and distinct voice made her very recognizable to people, especially after she starred in Comet Cleanser’s advertisement as Josephine the Plumber. Her $5-million net worth also benefited from her acclaimed performance on Bright Eyes, where she played opposite Shirley Temple, one of the biggest stars of the same generation. She was also very good at singing and appeared in the musical Glad To See You, which, unfortunately, never made it to Broadway.
