Kirk Douglas’ name has been tied to Hollywood once and for all, as he remains one of the last heroes of its Golden Era. A centenarian, Douglas became a star overnight when he got the leading role on Champion, a movie which granted him his first Academy Award nomination. He also happens to be the father of famed actor Michael Douglas.
