Clive James – Age 79
Clive James has worn quite a number of hats working as a broadcaster, memoirist, translator, poet, and critic. James took up residence in the UK in 1962 and he’s worked as well as lived in the country since then. In 2003, he released a poetry publication titled The Book of My Enemy and he’s also published several other works. Before hosting Clive James on Television on ITV, James appeared as a guest commentator on several shows. Following speculations that he needed a kidney transplant in 2014, it turned out that James had lymphocytic leukemia and emphysema. The column he penned for The Guardian titled Reports of My Death documented his struggles until 2017.
