Sigourney Weaver – Alien, Born in 1949
Sigourney Weaver is an actress that needs little introduction. Her debut role was on Annie Hall and two years later came her most prominent portrayal on Alien. Sigourney played Ellen Ripley in three sequels of the Alien franchise and was nominated for an Oscar for Aliens, which is the second installment. Sigourney earned two more Oscar nominations for Gorillas in the Mist and Working Girl. She is nicknamed ‘Sci-Fi Queen’ and also had notable parts on Ghostbusters, 1 and 2, Avatar, The Ice Storm, and has had award-winning Broadway performances. Weaver is still working on camera and has announced she’s returning for Avatar 2 and 3.
