Cyndi Thompson was very lucky because her first-ever single titled What I Really Meant to Say topped the Hot Country Songs chart of Billboard right away. Despite her early success, she was not able to maintain it and her career just slowed down over the years. Looking at her now, it’s hard to find any effects time had on her because she still looks quite young at 44.
