George & Norma Strait – 47 Years Together
Country music singer George Strait has known his wife Norma since they were very young. They grew up in the same town and dated on and off for a while until they decided to elope in 1971. They welcomed their first daughter, Jenifer, the next year, while their son, Bubba, was born in 1982.
Sadly, tragedy struck when Jenifer passed away at the age of 13 due to a car accident. George and Norma then set up a foundation in honor of their late daughter. They’ve been together for over four decades and are loving grandparents to 6-year-old Harvey. George recently released his 30th album, Honky Tonky Time Machine, in March 2019.
