Queen Elizabeth II & Prince Philip – 71 Years Together
Having the lengthiest marriage among all the British sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, had their 71st-anniversary celebration last November 2018. Their romance began after they got acquainted at the Royal Navy College, exchanging letters right after the encounter.
Because they hold the stoic values of their generation, they’ve never been seen holding each other’s hands in public, according to royal biographer Gyles Brandreth. He also added that Prince Philip saw himself more as a pragmatist rather than a romantic, which works for this couple’s dynamic anyway.
