Shane MacGowan – Age 61

Shane Patrick Lysaght MacGowan is revered for coming up with exceptional lyrics, and the English-born recording artist is best remembered for his time with the Pogues. MacGowan also pursued a solo career beyond his time with the band and he also played with other bands, including The Popes and The Shane Gang.  In June 2001, singer Sinead O’Connor had the authorities knocking down MacGowan’s door when she reported him for having heroin in his possession. MacGowan gives us all hope that it’s never too late to find love, having walked (or rolled) down the aisle in November 2018 for his wedding to Victoria Mary Clarke.
