Carleton Carpenter – 92

Carleton Carpenter served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and worked on building the airstrip Enola Gay that flew to Hiroshima. After the Army, he went on to perform on Broadway, debuting on Bright Boy. His Hollywood career began in the late ‘40s, and Carleton was already signed with MGM in 1950. He appeared on Father of the Bride, Summer Stock, Vengeance Valley, and numerous other movies in the next three years. Carleton was awarded a lifetime achievement award from Cinecon in 2012, presented to him by Debbie Reynolds, and he currently resides in New York.
